• Streamlined updates – you can now stay on the same page to update/install/delete your theme and plugins
• Dashboard now loads faster as it takes advantage of the fonts that you already have

WordPress 4.5 is here.  This version has been named after Jazz Musician Coleman Hawkins.  Don’t forget before you upgrade, to do a full backup( data base + Files) of your website.  Web Design By The Bay uses Backup Buddy to do this.  However there are other plugins to do this such as Backup to Dropbox. Remember that some plugins may not be compatible with the new version of WordPress, so check the compatibility of each of your plugins before you upgrade.

One of the features of version 4.5 include, is being able to add a logo to your site.  For some users this might be a simple process if they are using a template which allows them to do this.  However for some users this task hasn’t been so easy.

Other features include:

• The ability to preview your website on different device screen sizes
• A few new shortcuts in the WordPress editor
